Formati 11 is a batch converter, i.e. a tool that can be used to automatically convert large numbers of image files into different formats. It supports bmp, gif, jpg, png, wmf, emf, ico, icl, bmp, tga, tif, pcx, pcd, psd, psp, ppm, sgi, cut and eps, as well as the save formats: bmp, gif, jpg, png, tif, tga, ico and icl. The Batch Settings command from the Tools menu offers you all the necessary options. First of all, you select the required file format of the output files and the target folder. If you want to retain the original format and, for example, just change the file size by way of batch processing, be sure to create the target folder - otherwise, Formati 9 will overwrite the original files. A click on Directory opens up the selection box for the required directory. With Keep Fixed, you can specify whether the image width or the image height is to be fixed for all images. In this context, the value indicates the number of pixels, the maximum being 1024. Formati 9 has the pleasing characteristic of not distorting the originals - it always changes the size proportionally. The combination of size change and format conversion is ideal if, for instance, you want to produce Internet-compatible versions or thumbnails of a series of digital photos.
