QuizMenu is ideal for Teachers etc who need to provide multiple choice questions for their students. Its chief strength is the ease in which Questions can be added. With some 1400 Questions included the program can also be used just for fun. Quizzes can be taken Solo or Competitively. A Hall of Fame is included for Top Scores.
QuizMenu tests both your knowledge and your speed of recollection. Click on the Quiz Selector button on the opening screen to choose a quiz. Enter a name in the Player's name field before choosing a quiz. If a player is too modest to want to attach their own name to a gigantic score then they can choose a pseudonym from the dropdown list to the right of the Player's name field. (To add a name to the dropdown list, use the editor to open the file entitled Names.txt and append your name to the list). By default the questions are asked in written order with no time limit and 1 point per correct answer is awarded. This facility could be used perhaps for a trial run before attempting a High Score Quiz. No record is kept of these 1 point Quizzes.
If the High Score box is checked the contestant can try for entry to the Hall of Fame. Questions are randomized programatically to increase the difficulty and a timer counts down. If the Double Score box is checked it does just that and doubles the score, however the downside is that three consecutive wrong answers closes the attempt.
The timeout timer starts rolling as soon as you choose a quiz. For each question you score whatever time remains when you click on the correct answer. I.E. An immediate correct answer scores 100 or 200 points. Less speedy correct answers gain the appropriate scores. 50 or 100 points are deducted if you answer incorrectly. Your score will be Zero'd if you fail to answer at all. Theoretically you can go on improving your scores almost indefinately...
