XstreamRadio is a small and convenient desktop radio, which contains over 700 international radio stations. The release of this 2MB package, with easy recording feature for MP3-playback, has been a hit in the Netherlands since the launch of it in the beginning of this year. Thousands use the radio daily to listen to their favourite music and radio shows. This free software enables you to browse hundreds of live radio stations from all over the world with a simple click. Recording music or shows is just as easy.

The minimum system requirements in order to use XstreamRadio successfully on your PC:

  • Pentium II or higher;
  • Windows 98 or higher;
  • Windows Mediaplayer 9.0 or higher;
  • DirectX9 (for Windows 98, 2000, ME users).

    A few features:
  • You can directly enter a search term or URL for visiting a web page;
  • By 'selecting a station' a list of all radio stations appears to choose from;
  • By clicking the 'record' button, the XstreamRadio recorder will appear. This recorder enables you to record and playback music or your favourite show in wav or mp3;
  • The 'play' button enables you to start XstreamRadio. The radio will stop playing when you hit the 'stop' button while 'the' mute button enables you to mute the sound of Xstreamradio (without muting the sound of your recordings);
  • The 'web-portal select' menu is a simple and handy guide to the internet which gives you access to a ticker, search engines and useful links like a route planner, telephone book and a television guide;
  • The 'volume' controller enables you to control the volume of the radio. By moving the button to the left you decrease the volume and by moving the button to the right you increase the volume;
  • The button "add" enables you to add the station you are currently enjoying to your favorites list;
  • The button "remove" enables you to remove the marked stations from your favorites list;
  • Your favourite stations can be listed. Click on the name to start playing the station and use the checkbox to remove the station from your list;
  • A click on the station flag will connect you with the web page of the radio station mentioned. By clicking on the cross situated right at the top of the page the page will disappear again.
